North American Tour (NAT)
Getting to Defect Free - Suann Laurent
|
The North American Tour (NAT) is a five-day tour of Lean operations where participants see mature Lean organizations with leaders as stewards, and everyone is focused on defect-free, safe, customer-focused operations. Before the tour, mistake-proofing teams are formed. These are often based on critical incidents–that have caused patient harm. The teams collect data , create Value Stream Maps, and analyze root causes. JBA coaches the teams before, during, and after the tour, conducting 30-, 60-, and 90-day reviews and a final review at four months after the tour. The goal is to get to zero defects.
